The sun was out (along with Alo’s newest SPF face moisturizer), the pool was just the right temp, wellness was in the air, and Alo Summer House 2022 was to be had.
If you’re among the group who thought the iconic Bronco of Alo Summer House 2021 couldn’t be topped, just wait until you see the helicopter that flew in on day one like the torch inaugurating the celebration of the summer.
This year’s Alo Summer House showcased our award-winning wellness lineup with a few eye-catching additions, and we can’t wait to drop all of the details — who was caught dancing at the DJ booth all day, what tattoo a certain someone got on a certain somewhere, and where you could catch us wearing Alo’s newest collaboration for the summer.
SG Lewis, Surf Mesa, and Zack Bia kept the vibes high all 3 days long, proving to the surprise of many, that festival season was in fact not over. Hues of bright red tennis apparel and vibrant blue summer streetwear danced across the lawn as Markell Washington, SJ Bleu, Tony Lopez, and the TiKTok crew took to center stage.
While the dance circle may have been the place to be, some could argue (as in, Slick Woods and Zoe Jane Mitchell might argue) that the pool was where it was at. Maybe it was the refreshing turquoise water, but our bet is that it was the newly dropped Alo x Tropic of C collection that persuaded people to take a dip.
From the mindfully-made crocheted bikini styles to the Alo exclusive colors, this swim collection made in partnership with Candice Swanepoel headlined this summer soiree. As if the newness couldn't get any sweeter, we also made the timely debut of our Daily SPF Face Moisturizer — 100% clean, vegan, and invisible, this dual-function product protects from harmful UVAs, UVBs, and blue lights while also delivering moisture and all-day glow thanks to squalane and amla. In short, it was a lifesaver for all attendees.
After chatting poolside with Irina Baeva and Larray, mind-body wellness became the star of the show (which perfectly matched the star energy coming from Christine Quinn and Colton Underwood walking around). Alo’s fan-fave repertoire showed up in full force: ear seeding by Aqu Wellness, B12 shots and IV drips by The Hydration Room, lymphatic massages by Therabody and The Body Collective, ice baths by Experience TWYN, and aura photography by Aura Portal.
To add some zest (because it is summer after all), we brought in a few new happenings inspired by art, beauty, and self-expression. Mejuri set up camp in Alo Summer House offering ear piercings that caught the eyes of Charly Jordan and Sara Orrego. Amyle Nails took nail art to new heights with hand-painted installations that could earn their keep in LACMA. And if those two options weren’t feeling permanent enough for you, @Christian_Tattoos and @LiqFromTheWood could be found tattooing the likes of Ashley Galvin and Karrueche Tran.
Refueling was in order before hitting some mindful movement and Awan’s vegan ice cream did just the trick. Leah Blefko then took it upon herself to test out our newest high-impact sports bra and thank goodness she did because we now know that the months spent wear-testing and designing this beauty to perfection paid off.
While Leah made that purchase a no brainer, Kupah James and Giorgio Merlino went all out with a basketball court HIIT sesh while Rocky Barnes and Georgina Mazzeo joined Koya Webb for a mid-morning flow. Allie Michelle made poems through movement with some acro yoga and Jacob Manning showed how breathwork is a strength that even the Anaheim Angels baseball team is in need of.
After three days packed with movement, wellness, and festivities, it was very obvious that this summer was going to be one for the books.
